SIMEON WOOD - 21 April 2007

On Saturday 21 April 2007 composer and gifted musician Simeon Wood performed at the first Cabaret Connexion event of the year.  All present enjoyed the evening as Simeon played a mix of his own pieces and timeless classics.  The music styles varied from folk to jazz and back to classical ensuring there was something for all tastes.  It was also fascinating to see the different instruments Simeon played through the evening including flute, bass flute, celtic flutes and pan pipes.  For some pieces two or three different instruments were used.

Simeon interspersed the music with jokes and stories as he slowly wove his own story of faith through the evening.  All laughed at his jokes and many appreciated his honesty when commenting he found it easier to describe his faith in music than in words.  Some said that the music and what Simeon explained he was trying to express through it touched them.

Stories of faith in a laid back setting
